My name is Courtney VanCronkhite and Sudden cardiac arrest ended my life when I was only 24 years old.
Each year sudden cardiac arrest claims the lives of 250,000 – 450,000 people. On August 10, 1999 I was one of them.
My friends and family carry on my legacy by raising awareness and placing life saving Automated External Defibrillators in public places so that what happened to me won't happen to you or the ones you love.
My life is over, but it didn’t have to be, and the lives of you or your loved ones don’t have to be either.
So please, join me on my crusade, because together we can help save the lives of thousands of those that may otherwise be lost.

"I had the privilege of taking care of Courtney on her last day with us. She was brave and strong. She wanted to live. I will never forget her. And I can tell you that her fight for life was – and will forever be – an inspiration to me. But equally inspirational was the resolve of the VanCronkhite and Maley families, who were so courageous and showed so much love for Courtney and each other. We struggled to save Courtney. We did everything that could be done. But, it was God's will that she join him in heaven. And now she's in paradise, smiling down on us, as we here celebrate her life."
